Taking a walk on 'The Sunny Side of the Street' is my way of saying I'm choosing to look at the positive in life.  That's not to say that a cloud or two doesn't try to block the sun, or an occassional rain storm comes my way.  As the song says, "Life's sweet.  Just direct your feet to the sunny side of the street."

Won't You Let Me Take You On A Sea Cruise

This may have been the longest I've ever gone without posting something on here, in the almost 2 years I've been blogging.  I really, really want to share all about our cruise, but in the limited time I have this week I know I wouldn't be able to adequately write about the experience.  Hopefully this weekend.

This week I'm not only trying to get back into the swing of things at home and in my classroom, I'm also subbing in the afternoons for the Kindergarten class.  So, besides having to get up in the morning, cook my own food again, and keep track of my own kids, I have to teach 33 children every day.  I'm tired.  The good news is most of my sunburned skin has peeled, so I'm not longer flaking everywhere, and the imaginary boat I'm still on is no longer rocking.  I still have my sea legs, and the room only spins occassionally.  It could have more to do with the head cold I caught on the last two days of the cruise, but I am recovering quite nicely.

Life is not back to "normal" though, and probably won't be until the Kindergarten teacher gets back from India.  Which cannot come soon enough!  It takes two teachers and two aides to fill her shoes.  And we are struggling!  If you know Melanie, you know this is true.

In the time being, you can go check out all my cruise pics on facebook (if you haven't already.) If you're not my friend, why not?!? Send me a friend request and then go look at my album of Music Boat pics.  The one with Toby Mac is especially nice!

The transition back after vacation is always tough. Just keep repeating "it's almost summer, it's almost summer." :-)
