Taking a walk on 'The Sunny Side of the Street' is my way of saying I'm choosing to look at the positive in life.  That's not to say that a cloud or two doesn't try to block the sun, or an occassional rain storm comes my way.  As the song says, "Life's sweet.  Just direct your feet to the sunny side of the street."

The Music Boat: Part 2

Our first day on board was as busy as the rest of the week was.  The first night you are assigned your table and whom you will sit with for the rest of the cruise.  We ended up sitting with a family from Indiana (go figure) who lives south of Indianapolis.  They were a lot of fun.  A husband and wife, and their 3 teen-aged children, and Aunt Doris.  She was a hoot!  I sat next to her every night at dinner, and we caused all kinds of trouble for our poor wait-staff.  Like endless requests for coffee refills.  Our waiters were from India and China.  Cruises are so International.

The concert on the first evening was Fee and David Crowder Band.  Both bands I love!  David Crowder seemed to have a hard time getting his sea legs and stumbled once or twice.  He's a funny guy, and so made jokes about it.  By the time I met him after the show, he seemed to be acclimated.  The other guy plays guitar in the band and is my twitter-buddy, Mark the Shark.  Nice guys! There were two other shows that night, the Katinas, and Hawk Nelson.  I'd been "friends" with James Katina online for awhile, but never really had listened to their music.  Their concert by the pool was awesome!  They sang one of my favorite songs, "Ancient Skies."  Hawk Nelson always has a high-energy show, but Jason Dunn wasn't his normal crazy, jumping-around self.  I think he was nervous about being in the middle of the ocean (he mentioned this a number of times), and he had hurt his foot somehow.  He's kind of a punk if you ask me, but the other guys in the band are really nice.  So, our first day of the cruise ended sometime after midnight.  I was pretty tired, and slept well that first night at sea.

I hope you guys don't get bored with this play-by-play of our days at sea.  This is only part 2!  I have a lot more to say, but no more time today.  There's always tomorrow.

Oh Lisa, I was really enjoying reading, settling in with my Hot Tamales Mike and Ike candy when I got to the end that said end of Part 2. Hurry up and finish this girl...I'm anxious to hear ALL the details. I hope you didn't drive your waiter to quit his job! A music cruise sounds like so much fun. I know you were in your glory! Can't wait for Part 3.
