Taking a walk on 'The Sunny Side of the Street' is my way of saying I'm choosing to look at the positive in life.  That's not to say that a cloud or two doesn't try to block the sun, or an occassional rain storm comes my way.  As the song says, "Life's sweet.  Just direct your feet to the sunny side of the street."

Same Old, Same Old

Well, the gangs all here! Alisha and Marissa have returned home, and the house is once again filled with noise. Marissa's ipod blaring LeCrae and Flyleaf. Alisha watching (and laughing) at the Disney channel, and Rebekah and Phil watching XMen cartoons on the computer forcing me to wear headphones so I can listen to MY music on the laptop. I love it! It helps pass the time for sure.

The doctor's office called to check up on me today. Almost a week after the surgery. I'm great, thanks for asking. The nurse asked if I was getting up and around at all. At all? Um...yeah. More like am I resting when I should be. Yes, I am. Today I did better at being up and resting at intervals so as not to wear myself out and get all shakey and weak. Progress, people, progress!

I worked my way through a pile of paper work, looked at a calendar for the rest of summer (weeping for these weeks I'm losing), and cut out coupons and re-organized my coupon book. I made a doctor's appt. for the end of the month, and was told to "make sure you call doctor's cell if you have any problems and let him know what ER you're going to." Thanks. I feel very comforted by that statement. I worked on school stuff for a little while getting a sketch drawn of the one classroom. I'm excited about having desks! I've always had tables. Which has meant someone is always bumping someone else and not leaving them enough room to sit.  Yeah, looking forward to having desks! I still haven't decided which theme I'm going with. Today I'm leaning towards the Camping theme, because it's cuter. Tomorrow I may feel differently.

Well, that's it. I've got nothing else.
